Statistics indicate that new and small companies have contributed 95% of all radical innovations and roughly 50% of all innovations since World War I. Entrepreneurs have bridged the gap from science to the consumer market with innumerable, useful products. Even if less than 50% of all new businesses survive more than four years, the creation of value and addition of it to the distribution chain has been remarkably critical to economic expansion.
