From the supplier: Two court rulings focused on emotional stress resulting from employee termination and liability of premises on a victim's injury. First, an appellate court in Illinois ruled that there was no intentional infliction of emotional distress related to the dismissal of L. June Brackett, then employed at the Galesburg Clinic Assn. The court dismissed the case due to insufficient evidence. Second, the Supreme Court of Florida ruled on the corporate liability of Wal-Mart in connection with Lawrence Howard McDonald's injury from a gun shot in the parking lot of one of their shops.
