From the supplier: The management of parking facilities is a challenging task for property managers. However difficult this responsibility can be, property managers have no choice but to deal with this issue because tenants or residents need to park their vehicles somewhere. In fact, the demand for parking has been increasing despite the emergence of telecommuting and virtual offices. Nevertheless, this task can also be a profitable venture for managers, especially if the parking facility is properly operated. There are three options for property managers regarding parking facilities. One is to lease the parking facility to a parking operator. The second is to outsource parking management via an employment contract with a parking operator. The final option is to manage the facility themselves. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages that managers should consider when deciding on an approach.
