From the supplier: The California Science Center started its capital campaign to raise funds for the facility as a result of the earthquake that affected the California Museum of Science and Industry. The center had a capital campaign goal of at least $265 million which was to be handled by a campaign staff headed by Leonard Aube. Sources of the funds include the $47 million state earthquake relief fund, a park bond of $24 million and $101 million from public funds. The science center was able to raise $29 million from the private sector and 32.9 million was raised at the end of the capital campaign period.
