From the supplier: Executives of the do-it-yourself products industry expect greater challenges for the year 2005. Consumers are expected to be more exacting in asking for increased levels of service, better value and innovative products. Hence, retailers will have to focus on two issues: the effort to retain profitability and the need to recruit, train and sustain a staff that is ready to meet the required level of service. Profit margins are seen to become smaller with wholesale industry being the most to be affected.
