From the supplier: BJC Health System of St Louis, MO, has decided to outsource the management of its physical plant operations. The country's fourth most integrated health system was formed from the merger between independent hospitals Barnes, Jewish and Children's with the Missouri Baptist Medical center and the Christian Health Care System. The large regional network of nonprofit hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing homes and medical office buildings realized that outsourcing would give it a single source of information on all of its real estate holdings and allow it to concentrate on its business of health care delivery. BJC awarded the contract to Colliers Turley Martin Tucker in 1995. The partnership has resulted in a comprehensive real estate management program that facilitates advance strategic planning for asset management.
