From the supplier: Garlic has been known through the ages to have medicinal properties and recent research are proving that it does indeed have vast health benefits. Garlic contains an organosulfide which transforms to allicin when it is cut or crushed. Many studies have shown that garlic decreases low-density lipoprotein levels while increasing the amount of high-density lipoproteins in the blood. It also reduces the production of triglycerides to provide a healthful cholesterol ratio. Moreover, the most recent studies have shown that it has also cancer-fighting abilities.
