From the supplier: There are new infectious and parasitic diseases that are emerging and becoming a threat to human survival. These include HIV, Ebola, Hantavirus, Hepatitis-C, Legionella Bacterium, and Cyclospora. One of the causes of the spread of these diseases and microbes in the increased mobility of humans from country to country. Other factors include human encroachment on environments that are strange to people. Global warming, also, is playing a part in the intensity of disease outbreaks. Malaria is another problem resulting from removal of forest areas. Mosquitos breed in pools of water that are exposed to sunlight all day due to foliage that has been cleared. Human ingestion of new antibiotics forces microorganisms to develop new levels of resistance to these medications. Viral vaccinations, however, have helped to stop diseases such as measles that can be deadly.
