From the supplier: Gender discrimination in sport has been around for so long that efforts to achieve gender equity fall into the same trap of labeling and stereotyping. For example, the name of an all-girl athletic team is usually preceded by the word 'Lady.' Another example is the creation of the National Assn for Girls and Women in Sport (NAGWS), a separate organization from the National Assn for Sport and Physical Education that seems to bolster the concept of gender separation.
