From the supplier: Changes in the level of US national investment in R&D in relation to the development of skilled labor are discussed. Increased federal funding in R&D is encouraged to increase technological competitiveness in the global market. This can be done by ratifying the Federal Research Investment Act. As a result, the workforce will emerge as one of the major beneficiaries of R&D. The academic community is encouraged to take part in the government's effort in laying the foundations for technological competitiveness in the 21st century.
