From the supplier: Slovakia has numerous literary organizations, such as the Community of Writers and the Association of Slovak writers (AOSS), but the separate groups are hostile to one another. The division is supposedly ideological, but the conflict is related to limited resources for writers in Slovakia. The AOSS resents the funding given to those writers who support the government. Other groups are suspicious of those who seek funds abroad while criticizing the Slovak government.
