From the supplier: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the US in Jan 1998 and was met by a thousand or more supporters of Rev Jerry Falwell. Netanyahu and Falwell met and discussed several issues that would affect US-Israeli relations. As a result, Falwell issued a statement calling for the easing of political pressure on Israel. This was done prior to the meeting of Netanyahu and Pres Bill Clinton. Political analysts believe that this meeting with the Christian right, headed by Falwell, will encourage supportive policies for the Likud party.
