From the supplier: Research was conducted to examine changes in self-perception related with participation in extracurricular aerobics. It was hypothesized that girls who participate in aerobics will have better physical self-perceptions than those who do not due to the notion that aerobics is a feminine and noncompetitive pursuit. Findings draw attention to the role of physical education in the lives of children which is not to challenge gender myths but to promote healthy lifestyles and develop positive psychological health.
