From the supplier: Many companies allow employees to use multiple credit cards for the purchase of goods and services. Consequently, attempts to analyze expenditures on specific activities tend to become quite problematic. One way to simplify corporate expense management would be to consolidate the multiple credit cards into a one-card system. This would permit the accounting department to attach an identifier to each expense transaction, allowing expenses to be tracked so that limits for various types of expenses are properly enforced. This one-card system, when combined with an expense management software with a configurable rules engine, enables companies to automatically compare transactions with the relevant expense policies, while permitting exceptions to be made. This system also allows expense accounts to be routed to the appropriate manager together with reports on a range of spending patterns.
