From the supplier: Roxanne Barton Conlin, first woman president of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), was powerfully inspired by many of her women plaintiffs, four of whose stories are given here. Phylliss Henry, currently first woman U.S. marshal for the Southern District of Iowa, consulted Ms. Conlin in 1972 for counsel on how to enter the Des Moines Police Department, whose Chief of police had publicly sworn never to accept a woman patrolman.
