An experiment search for 12 terms associated with political campaigns reveals that the 5 most useful search engines are Snap, Yahoo, Hotbot, Infoseek and Lycos. Snap yields the best results, being accurate, detailed and well organized. Yahoo works well for general searches as do Hotbot and Infoseek. Lycos, meanwhile, is good for sorting out news stories on political campaigns.
