From the supplier: The American Society of Assn Executives (ASAE) has adopted a decision making model that is a knowledge-based approach to policy governance. A primary consideration in the adoption of this model was the creation of a climate of trust. Knowledge-based policy governance has three vital elements. These are the use of a knowledge-based approach to decision making, consultation and dialogue before deliberation and the use of principles of policy governance as a guiding philosophy to the execution of board decisions.
