Marcam, for instance, believes that 80% to 90% of its business to originate from the mid-market while J.D. Edwards expects the mid-market ERP sector to grow by 20% to 30% annually. Mid-market companies' interest in ERP is attributed to the year 2000 problem and efforts to improve quality. The demands of mid-market companies from ERP vendors are discussed.
