Japan IT Solutions User Perception and Needs, 2005
Book Details
Description
This IDC study presents the results of the Survey on IT Solutions conducted in February 2005 wherein it was noted that the ratio of companies planning to implement customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource management (ERM), or supply chain management (SCM) in 2005 increased compared to 2004, indicating corporate enthusiasm toward the implementation of such solutions. However, there are still concerns over negative factors such as a decrease in the number of large projects and a decrease in prices due to the escalation of market competition and IDC believes that any major market growth is, therefore, unlikely.
IDC Japan's senior market analyst, Hisashi Kajita, says, "Solution vendors should work on three aspects to increase their competitiveness — systemization and documentation of know-how on solution establishment, integration with new technology solutions, and dissemination of new solutions.
