An Airman's Letter to His Mother by Anonymous (1940) Hardcover: 29 pages Publisher: E.P. Dutton & Co., Inc.; 12th printing (December 12, 1940) This book has a blue cover with gold spine. Title printed in black on a bright gold sticker with the emblem of the (British) Royal Air Force printed above the title. The publisher's note explains that this is a letter "found among the personal belongings of a young R.A.F. pilot in a Bomber Squadron who was recently reported 'Missing, believed killed'." The letter was addressed to the pilot's mother and is printed here anonymously. 29 pages; approx. 4"x6". This very small book is very unique and in excellent condition with no structural problems and very little wear on the covers or spine. The inside has an ownership sticker (no name entered) on the first fly-leaf, but the rest is in like-new condition with no markings, stains, creases, or tears.
