Japan SCM Solution 2005-2009 Forecast

This IDC study analyzes the 2004 Japan SCM (supply chain management) solutions market and provides a forecast for the period from 2005 to 2009. The 2004 Japan SCM solutions market grew 2.8% from the previous year to 263.7 billion Yen. The Japan SCM solutions market is expected to have a CAGR of 2.6% to reach 299.5 billion Yen in 2009.

"A supply chain is a series of business processes carried out by different companies in various industries. The use of systems for intra- and inter-organization information sharing is a basic requisite. To increase the value of SCM solutions, systems for master data management, supply chain workflow management, standardized KPI (Key Performance Indicator) formulation, and performance monitoring are required," observes Hisashi Kajita, senior market analyst, Japan Software Research, IDC Japan.
