This extremely well done catalogue is from the 1998 Society of Glass Beadmakers' Contemporary Glass Bead and Jewelry Show, May 1 to June 28, 1998 at the Rockwell Museum in Corning NY. A slim book but it features 37 well-know glass bead artists who were in the exhibition, with a great color photo of one of their pieces, description of their work and an artist statement. Also has some general pages about the history of beadmaking, how lampworked, kiln formed and furnaceworked beads are made as well as a glossary of terms.It is intersting to see what these beadmakers where doing in 1998, especially if you know their work today.
