Kinetic Theory of Liquids

Written by one of the pioneers in the study of solid lattice defects, it attempts a unified theory of both solids and liquids. The first chapters consider solids, analyzing changes and additions necessary in the classical theory of crystal lattice, while the remaining chapters deal with the liquid state: properties of liquids, mechanism of fusion, heat motion, orientation and rotational motion of molecules in liquids, kinetics of phase transition, and properties of solutions and high polymeric substances.
