Proficiency in the Sentence Writing Strategy: Student Lessons Volume 1 (Learning Strategies Curriculum)

The materials in this book are designed to be used in conjunction with instruction that is described in the Proficiency in the Sentence Writing Strategy Instructor's Manual. They are not designed to be used in absence of this instruction, nor are they to be used without regard for mastery learning. The Proficiency in the Sentence Writing Strategy Student Lessons were originally developed and field-tested in 1974 in a summer school program for junior-high students. Since that time, the students who participated in the original field test have graduated from high school (and some from college), the accompanying Instructor's Manual has been developed and field-tested, and the Student Lessons have been much improved. Countless teachers from across the nation have used the lessons since the original field test.
