Found a reference to this earlier edition of this book in "Among the Gently Mad" Basbanes, pg. 147 when he refers to a find of this little pocket book, a 1690 copy. This is a nice dark green cover with gold embossed writing on spine re printed from the Christian Herald. Fine condition, pages are without marks, great resistance that may mean never read,only gently tanned as expected for this age, corners are slightly bumped, chapters are The Choice of a Wife, The Choice of a husband, clandestine marriage, duites of husbands to wives, duties of wives to husbands, costume and morals , husbands and wives, matrimonnial Discords, hotels versus home, easy divorce, maternity, the childrens's patrimony, the mother of all, sisterly influence, trials of housekeeping, woman enthroned, Old Folks visit, home, sweet home.
