Should you be lucky enough to find this fine old Bible in a used bookstore or here in the marketplace,buy it.The Berkeley Verson (Modern Language Bible),imho,is one of the better versions to have emerged in the mid-20th century.I believe it was based on the Textus Receptus.T'is a rare treat to have the original Living Bible, (paraphrase) which was the parent of the New Living Translation, presented in accompaniment with the RSV and the august KJV.If you are into comparative Biblical studies,this tome is a must have for your bookshelf.The one here advertised was published in the mid-70's (was also known as the Layman's Parallel) so they are rare but perhaps still lurking in pastoral libraries.
