Tricks, Traps and Ploys Used in Construction Scheduling

This manual is intended to give readers an understanding of the benefits (and requirements) of construction scheduling. More specifically, readers will learn the ways in which critical path method (CPM) construction scheduling and construction scheduling specifications can be used (or misused) to provide unreliable results or results that are intended to bolster delay claim positions. The manual also addresses defenses against these manipulations of construction schedules and scheduling specification requirements. Furthermore, this manual will examine legal issues surrounding the use of CPM schedules to recover delay damages.
