Savage Grace

This is the true story that was later made into a well received motion picture. The story involves the murder of the Barbara Daly Baekeland, who had married above her means to Brooks Baekeland, heir to the Bakelite plastics fortune. The son of the couple is diagnosed with schizophrenia, and is ultimately arrested for the murder of his mother.
