Description:
This theoretical paper analysis the dependency of side channel attacks like DPA on the attacked algorithm. By general examination of the complexity of DPA type side channel attacks the influence of algorithmic parameter is shown. It is shown that the careful selection or design of algorithms can increase the security of implementations of algorithms in addition to and independent from conventional DPA attack countermeasures.
