Description:
The aim of the study is to quantify that part of inter-individual differences regarding success in a commercial training course which can be explained by the differences in the scores of the NV5-R battery of tests. The analysis is based on the data for a sample of 93 adults; the data was collected in a situation conferring a certain ecological validity. A model retaining the scores for the 3 cognitive tests which are most useful for prediction provides an explanation for 34% of the variance from an index of success for the course. This result provides an element of predictive validity on the scores of the NV5-R battery. Although this instrument is a classic of its type, the elucidation of the tasks that it proposes is not yet been complete.
