Froth Flotation 50Th Anniversary Volume

This volume was originated by the Minerals Benefication Division of the Society of Mining Engineers, AIME, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Froth Flotation in the year 1962. The primary objective of this book is to present the state of flotation science and technology at the end of its first half century, although the interesting and important history of flotation during this period has not been neglected. The editors have chosen authoritative subject matter of general interest to all flotation engineers and scientists with certain chapters of specific interest to plant operators, design engineers, research metallurgists, educators, and students. In order to extend the useful life of this volume, a common base year, 1960, has been chosen for the presentation of statistical data. Thus, costs and other data can be estimated in future years through the use of suitable escalation methods.
