Cultures in Contrast: Mis-Communication and Misunderstanding between Chinese and North Americans

This book is designed to help the reader understand and appreciate some of the differences that Chinese and North Americans might quickly discover when they spend time together in everyday situations. The book does this by adopting an unusual, but highly appropriate, presentation style. First, ordinary situations in which misunderstanding easily occurs are presented. An interpretation and explanation of the Chinese and the North American perspectives of each are then provided. There are 73 cases in the book.
