Shorter Shiite Encyclopaedia

The origin of the Shiites, the time of growth and their in number and persecution of the Ahlul Bayt and the Shiites in Muslim states. This Section is to be considered an introduction to the Islamic Shi'ite Encyclopedia. The reason for its publication lies in the fact that we have very important topics that cannot be included as part of the life of the Prophets or of the Imams, nor can it be entered alphabetically in the Encyclopedia. While some material may have been incorporated with what was previously compiled, the nature of the material is such that it needs to be emphasized separately.
