Star Wars X-wing Rogue Squadron. The Warrior Princess Vol 1 to 4.

One of the fledgling New Republic's greatest assets in their battle against what remains of the Empire is their firm commitment to multiculturalism. But when they discover that Plourr Ilo is recalled home to assume her previously unknown royal duties as Princess, the Rogues are forced to put the commitments of a single culture against the interests of the larger Republic. Back home on Elattu, planet elders believed that they might quell an internal civil war by establishing Plourr as a strong, but impotent, figurehead. Unfortunately for them, her time in the Rogues has shaped her ideas of what leadership means. Undoubtedly taking a cue from Princess Leia, a figurehead she will not be. Equally unfortunate for Elattu is the sudden appearance of a man who claims to--but cannot--be her brother. He and his scheming lover intend to wrest the crown from Plourr for their own gain. The planet seems to teeter on the brink of a widened Civil War. What remains of the Empire begins to lick its chops over the prospects of a divided society being relatively easy to overwhelm. The Rogues are there to back her up, but they must tread lightly so as not to appear to intervene in the internal affairs of a sovereign planet. It is largely a battle that Plourr must fight on her own, trying to find a way to simultaneously keep the Imperials out, her "brother" discredited, her belief system intact, and her people united in freedom. If she can just do all that, maybe she'll earn the only title she wants: Plourr Ilo: Warrior Princess of Elattu.
