This IDC study provides distribution information useful for planning and forecasting switch and router growth by channel. It identifies the areas of greatest channel growth, as well as possible problem areas.
"To be successful in the LAN switch and router markets, channel partners will need to articulate a strong business case for network-dependent solutions, such as VoIP, video, and unified communications. Solution providers must help their customers solve a business problem, not just attempt to sell a faster switch," said John Grady, research analyst of IDC's Infrastructure Channels and Alliances program.
