Japan Next Generation Wireless Mobile Network 2008-2012 Forecast and First Half 2008 Analysis

This IDC study (which is a translation of the Japanese report IDC #J8220108) presents the recent status of the Japan wireless network market as well as an analysis and forecast of the capital investment trends of communications carriers.

"Capital investments for the wireless market will contract from 2H08, following the decline in business revenue by communications carriers. As carriers would probably continue to reduce their capital investments and new LTE investments are expected to be distributed in phases instead of being concentrated over the short-term, capital investments by Japan communications carriers for the next-generation wireless network market will continue to decline for the next five years," observes Michito Kimura, senior analyst, Communications, IDC Japan.
