OfficeFest 2007: Microsoft Excel 2007 Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts

OfficeFest 2007 is a collection of documents written with the Microsoft® Office 2007 user in mind. These documents are written with the intent of showing the reader aspects of Office 2007 that they might not otherwise use. The “voice” in the collection is informal to make a more relaxed atmosphere for the reader.

This document introduces you to using Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts within Excel 2007. You will learn how to use pivots to manipulate data available in an Excel spreadsheet. You will work with columns and rows, and learn how to summarize data, such as the Sum and Average functions. You will learn how to open and use PivotChart Tools, including chart types, chart designs, and add chart titles. This document also instructs how to import data from an external source.
