Sermon + Bible Study Notes: The Missing Piece in our Christian Jigsaw Puzzle (Matthew 7:13-23)

One time I was putting together a jigsaw puzzle and to my dismay it was missing one piece! I looked all over for it--but it was nowhere to be found. The picture I had assembled was very beautiful--but incomplete.

In the same way, there's an important piece in our understanding of who God is and why we need Him. We call this area of interest "theology"--and in our Christian theology there is an important piece that many people like to leave out. But without it, your picture of God and His truth (and reality) is incomplete. It's the missing piece of Hell.

Yes, Hell exists. And while we may not like to talk about it--it is important for us to understand why it needs to exist. Our understanding of God and His goodness are incomplete without talking about His judgment, His righteousness, and yes, a place He created for unrepentant sinners, Hell.
