From the author: A power law expression is proposed to correlate the flat oval elbow loss coefficient data for the flat oval elbows tested in Research Projects RP-1319 and RP-690 as a function of aspect ratio and hydraulic diameter. Subsequently, the constant parameters were evaluated by performing a least-squares curve-fit to the data. To indicate the reliability of the curve-fit, linear correlation coefficients were calculated for the power law expression.
