The Swedish outsourcing market was worth SEK 21,105 million in 2008, up 6.1% on 2007.
"Sweden, with its large export sector, is one of the countries in the Nordic region that is most exposed to the hard realities of the economic recession," said Nils Molin, managing director, IDC Sweden. "The recession is leading many users to seriously look at outsourcing. We expect a surge in outsourcing deals as a result of the crisis."
IDC believes the outsourcing market will emerge as a winner in the current financial crisis and forecasts a CAGR for 2008–2013 of 5.2%, which translates into a total market value in 2013 of SEK 27,229 million.
