Collages (Boy Photobook)

Famed French photographer, Gerard Marot, like his contemporary Bernard Faucon, chose boys / was chosen by boys as his persistent subject. His previous nude studies of boys, most memorably in ANATOMIE DU DORMEUR, LES P'TIT MECS, and GYMNOPEDIE, are represented in COLLAGES by witty, imaginative photomontages. Nude boys are seen flying high above ground, falling from a roof, posing in a fashion store window, intimately lying in the embrace of a statue, rollerskating up the wall of a cathedral, sliding down a train-station bannister in front of a gendarme, etc. . . . First and only edition of COLLAGES was published 1983 in Paris by Edition Imagine. Unfortunately, no subsequent printings or reprints followed, making this classic boyphoto book difficult to find.
