paraMADics

Based on the author's cousin's six year stint as an Emergency Medical Technician, paraMADics tells the coming-of-age story of Mark Bascomb's roller coaster ride as a rookie EMT where the difference between life and death is often measured in seconds.

From gunshot victims to attempted suicides, to coping with chronic alcoholics and traffic accidents in the dead of night, Bascomb works horrendously long hours alongside a dedicated team of medical misfits where he discovers that sometimes being crazy is all that keeps you from going insane.
