This is the companion to the Instructional DVD, and includes a corresponding audio CD. The Introduction to Blues Guitar: Beginner to Intermediate Book with CD by Peter Vogl (companion book to the DVD in our store), is the way to learn Blues rhythm and soloing from one of the best teachers and players in the Southeast. It is a follow-up course to Introduction to Acoustic Guitar or Introduction to Electric Guitar. This book shows exact hand positions to learn how to properly play rhythm to the 12 Bar Blues and learn scales (Em pentatonic and Blues Scales). It covers all the material in the DVD (learning how to solo up and down the neck of the guitar), plus it has additional information (playing in other keys up and down the neck, blues turnarounds, an expanded hot licks section, and an appendix covering a variety of information). The companion audio CD contains all of the music in the book played at two speeds (slow for practice and up tempo for performing) and all solos are played along with a full band (drums, bass, keyboard, and rhythm guitar). This book contains all you need to become a blues player. All music is written in both standard music notation and tablature. Includes lyrics and melody lines.
