Looking to play harder and with more confidence without being frustrated with tuning? One of your key causes of tuning frustration is string binding at the nut. An inexpensive and quick solution to what you need are TUSQ-NUTS. TUSQ-NUTS alleviate the binding grip of the nut on the string and reduces friction between the nut material and the string.
This is accomplished using a nut manufactured from an engineered resonant base material impregnated with Teflon. As strings move across a TUSQ-NUT, they shear open microscopic "capsules" loaded with millions of "ball bearing"-type lubricants. For strings, it's like a hardwood floor covered in marbles... strings roll back into tune. It's that simple!
When installing a TUSQ-NUT, replace any retainers (string trees) with TUSQ-NUT string retainers to alleviate friction and binding at these contact points.
