Wildman's "The Same Ol' Page": A Compilation of Essays and Poetry.: Jupiter Effect

In 1978 the scientific community announced that four years hence,in Nineteen-eighty-two,there would be a cataclysmic celestial event that would leave devastation and widespread death in its wake.The so-called "Jupiter Effect" would mean that the natural gravitational pull of the planet would go so far out of kilter that as the result of this phenomenon the world,as we know it,would be rendered uninhabitable.According to the authors of this study in astronomy the planets in the Earths' solar system,otherwise known as the "Milky Way",would form into a direct line,whereas if one were able to draw a line through the center of each of the Milky Ways' planets,from Mercury to Pluto,that line would be as straight as an arrow. Or actually, according to the theorist's, as straight as a beam or ray of light; and the result of the lining-up of these planets would cause the Earth to tilt on its axis to the point of a vertical position,rather than the normal position of a Forty-five- Degree angle.According to the theorists,this drastic change in the Earths' position would create catastrophe on a world wide level,in the manner of earthquakes of monumental magnitudes,tidal waves which would be more accurately described as tsunamis,volcanic eruptions along with hurricanes and tornadoes severe enough to totally annihilate whole cities as large as Los Angeles or New York in a matter of minutes, or perhaps even mere seconds.
In 2009,a movie by the title of "2012" was released after its production.This movie is based on the same elements of disaster which in 1978 scientists had predicted would occur in 1982,and termed as the "Jupiter Effect".One facet of difference between these obviously related catastrophic events is its relation in time.According to the movie,these things will take place due to the expiration of the "Mayan Calender" and perhaps the prophesies of Nostradamus, as well as countless others, including biblical prophets of the ancient world. .Whether or not any of those theories will hold true,well,only time will tell,as they say.In the Summer of 1982 when the world as we know it didn't come to its horrific end, it sparked city wide rioting in Miami,Florida.
What will be the end result if "2012" turns out to be just another hoax? It will be a safe bet that it will be much better,not to mention safer,than if it did turn out to be true.
