Introduction
I would like to discuss an analysis and implementation of policies in the workplace and in personal environments for individuals who are transgendered and express gender identity. The analysis includes background information on gender identity and expression in various societies. In addition, an analysis of the requirements of the executive in management to provide for an easier transitions for the individual and the company the individual work. Next, the legal analysis considers policies, cases, laws enacted in various states and cities and counties to provide a better society. Finally, section 2 considers additional material and pro-forma research proposals to aid in helping those who are transitioning in their true gender and expressing gender identity.
It is hoped that this analysis provides a better society where all can live, work, and love.

Background of Gender
It is important to understand the background of gender identity and expression. An aspect of gender identity and expression is exhibited in some cultures as a “dual spirit.†(Goulet, 2001) With a person of a dual-spirit, the person’s dress and behavior is that of the opposite of their genetic gender, and not viewed as an abnormality by the tribe. Some tribes recognize early that an individual is a dual-spirit and begin early accommodations for the individual in their chosen gender identity. The gender identity concept consists of various forms as in the case of the Navajo which believes everything is both male and female at the same time. With individuals who are of a dual-spirit, the individuals sometimes experience dreams, reflections of past lives of a previous gender, affections and aversions of their gender identity, and birth marks of the previous incarnations of gender.
