About the Author

I am a normal guy from the Midwestern U.S. in his early 30's whose life was once a constant struggle against extreme social anxiety and panic attacks. For over five years I battled my own scary thoughts, anxious feelings and worries that I could lose control of myself and my mind at any given moment. Like many of the tens of millions in the U.S. who suffer from debilitating anxiety (and many more worldwide), I felt completely lost and hopeless at times. For years I turned to self-medication through alcohol, and doctors who prescribed just about every anti-anxiety and antidepressant medication on the market. I felt the medication numbed me both emotionally and physically, and worst of all - I was still anxious and having panic attacks! There had to be another way to beat anxiety.

My Personal Journey towards Freedom I spent years reading every book I could find on the subject of panic attacks, anxiety and psychology. I experimented with different therapies and mental-conditioning exercises, and explored various approaches to life in the hopes of finding something that would help me. I was determined to fix my anxiety problems without the use of any prescription medication or traditional talk therapy.
