Description

A husband whose duty it is to tempt, a wife who is an angel – Lost on Earth is the story of Robert and Mary Noirson, son of the Devil and clone of Saint Mary. They meet, court and marry, and all is lively and passionate, but not for a moment do they, or any of their court, live happily ever after.

The couple keep tenacious hold on their kingdom of Hell on earth, ruled with the corroding iron hands of jealousy and spite. Their minions are those unfortunates who have made deathbed deals with Noirson.
This is a Hell of bordellos and trials, degradation and pain. They, too, these minions, take on their various fated loves and love triangles amidst the chaos.

Nothing is easy. Fateful love, for all from Robert and Mary down, leads to communication with Hell – always – and a difficult and heartrending decision – always – to choose salvation or death. In Part I of the book, Loss, everyone loses someone or something of importance: the daggers that could end the owner's life, a child, a lover, life itself. In Part II, Together, loss is no longer the quandary, for everyone stays with a love – in live, or in Hell and death.

Not all is wicked, however. There are unexpected kindnesses and devotion as characters are seen to help one another escape from the "cobweb of Hell." Some choose to remain enmeshed there with a loved one. Some repent or interact with an angel and are saved.

Here, though, are consuming emotions, single-minded pursuits, desperation, violence and fatalism. Here, too, are loves of all names – eros and agape, lust and true love.

Lost on Earth is a novel in which every prayer is answered, and every transgression soon punished. Chaotic, unusual and surprising, this book assures that passion is everything, that love is everything.
