Max Heindel, known as the greatest western mystic of the twentieth century, was born of the royal family of Von Grasshoffs, who were connected with the German Court of Prince Bismark. Max Heindel came to Los Angeles, California, in 1903, where he became interested in the study of metaphysics and joined the Theosophical Society of Los Angeles, of which he was vice-president in 1904 and 1905. In the spring of 1909 he started to formulate the Rosicrucian message which he had received from the Elder Brothers. Some of his brain children are the books posted here.
