The nine vignettes of The Good Doctor are linked by the narration of The Writer himself, who offers wise and droll comment on the characters he has created. "The Arrangement"-in which a father decides upon an educational gift for his naive son's nineteenth birthday: a visit to a brothel. "The Sneeze"-in which an insecure government clerk has the misfortune to sneeze on the bald head of his bureau chief-the consequences of the splattering are shattering.
